Lynn's LOL Las Vegas Week Day 2

Good Morning!

I didn't venture too far yesterday afternoon, but I wandered the Paris casino floor and the VERY FIRST Slot Machine, a penny machine, on my VERY FIRST PULL on a $1 bet, I won $82 !!  YAY! I cashed out at $100 after having put $20 in.  Was I on a roll?  I tried another penny machine and got the bonus.  Good Old Dean Martin, singing away while it did my free spins, and I got $147 on a $1.80 bet!  Woo Hoo!

Unfortunately, it went downhill from there, and I ended up re-donating my winnings, but I had fun and several hours of amusement & free glasses of lovely French wine :)

Due to my play, I was able to enjoy the all-you-can-eat Paris Buffet for only $11 (regular 24.95) so I stuffed myself silly on beef ribs, pasta, salad, quiche, Snow Crab legs, cheesecake & soft serve ice cream.  Mmmmmm!  If you get there around Pensioners typical dining hours, the line up is minimal, and that works for me being 3 hours ahead (no, NOT because I am a pensioner!!) 

I wandered through the streets of Paris, cobblestone floor, blue "sky" filled with "clouds" (they do a great painted job of this!) and hit one of the Boutique shops there I've frequented in the past.  The elderly lady who works there recognized my Paris 3/4 sleeve shirt I was wearing, from several years ago that I'd purchased there!  Nothing tempted me, but it is a great shop to see unusual fashion trends.

I wandered through to Bally's.  You come out of the Streets of Paris into Bally's casino at the other end.  Found a cool Lord of the Rings machine you can log into & it will track your points whenever you play it in the future!  Fun bonuses, and I had a good time chatting with the lady next to me as we muddled our way through the different features, not really knowing what we were doing but laughing when the surround sound seats scared the heck out us as we hit different bonuses!

This morning I was awake at 5 am (due to the time difference) but I dozed till a more "decent" hour & then brewed the horrible coffee in my in-room maker.  Horrible or not - ITS COFFEE!! - and I am content to sip & Blog in my PJ's!  Looking out over part of the strip & airport from my floor to ceiling windows, it is bright & sunny with clear skies and the news says it is forecasted to hit 72F today!  

Great!  I can wear my capris while I wander to the mall over at Planet Hollywood & Caesar's and then I am going to meet up with the wonderful local, Diva Dawn!  We are going to try to see if we can get in to see the PAWN STARS pawn shop down the other end of the strip called Gold & Silver.  She's warned me there is often a line up, so we won't bother to stop if we have to wait, but I'm hoping to get a peek inside & see if Chumley is there & if he really is like he is on TV!  We may even hit one or two of Diva's favourite Treasure Hunting spots!  

The amazing Victoria is due in this evening, so I may see some of her favourite "off strip" gambling houses, if time permits!  

I will soon be getting ready to go out and enjoy DAY 2 in wonderful Vegas!
