Las Vegas Adventures Treasure Hunting! Uncovering Hidden Collectibles!

Thrifting and Antiquing in Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada!

 

To wrap up my last day in Mission, B.C. Canada I browsed one more Thrift Shop and an Antique Shop and found a treasure trove of vintage ladies powder compacts and cigarette cases!

Vintage Ladies Powder Compacts & Cigarette Cases
Bottom right large round brass tone compact by Mascot England; lovely brocade inset decor on either side of a vintage carry-all compact/cigarette case with chain handle; oblong enameled wood-look compact its puff marked with what could be Merissa; Stratton England black lacquer pheasant note pad with original felt slip case, gold pen and unused note pad; vintage celluloid heart shaped ring box; needlepoint Made in USA compact; purse shaped Made in USA compact with porcelain pink rose inlay panel; Banbi Eagle musical cigarette case along with original box showing textured blue vinyl front and back panels; unsigned round blue enamel floral compact; unsigned set of two pieces in printed padded vinyl green scroll decor compact and cigarette case; vintage Zenette England hand painted parakeet compact; unsigned white enamel with applied front circle set with rhinestones. Compact collection dates range between c1930s to 1960s.

Rain in Vegas brings out a rainbow!
Monsoon season in Vegas. Three days of rain and drizzle results in traffic chaos in the desert but brings out a lovely rainbow above the MGM on The Strip.

I was honoured to spend the day with Jason of Thrifting With the Boys who graciously played tour guide and chauffeur to the Thrift Shops and the Sin City Antique Market (where he also has a booth!). 

I go on to more adventures tomorrow with the wonderful Diva Dawn of Las Vegas, who has mapped out a route for us to attend some garage sales and estate sales!  More posts to come - stay tuned!
