Hi All
It has been a busy time, with learning the "new rules" for the "new eBay" coming at the end of March (reading everything I can and participating in a superb 2 hour phone seminar) and trying to LIST LIKE CRAZY to get as many new FIXED PRICE listings up as possible to take advantage of the "sale" pricing leading up to the changes, and then trying to take advantage of a great sale on eBay fees for auction style listings that was on for a couple of days!
Over this time there have been GREAT BUYERS and some that have driven me crazy! I am all about customer service and the "customer is always right" and taking every step possible to preserve my stellar ratings, but sometimes you feel like a whipped dog (sorry about the analogy) with buyers YOU CANNOT PLEASE no matter what! What to do about them? Kill them with kindness and gratuitous grovelling? I know some sellers refuse to be held hostage by buyer's feedback, but I REALLY want to keep my TOP SELLER rating and my SILVER POWERSELLER status!! Both help for positioning on visibility on eBay searches and for any discounts eBay may deem to offer sellers! With eBay listing fees and pay pal fees eating up to 30 to 40% of any listing's sell price, IT IS IMPORTANT when this venue is your sole source of income!
How DO YOU HANDLE TOUGH BUYERS? I am interested to hear!
I have found so many GREAT TREASURES over the past few weeks! Really unusual collectible items and I've received a few lovely estate lots of STEIFF and other German stuffed animal / soft toy manufacturers! Getting the items identified and sorted does take time so be patient with me! Lots have been listed but there are lots waiting to be listed!
Stay focused and give me some of your ideas on handling those difficult buyers!
Bear Hugs
