Treasure Hunting on Day 3, Thursday, with Diva Dawn & Victoria was loads of fun! We each found very different items, me mostly plush, including a Vermont Teddy Bear, 2 real kangaroo fur Australian souvenir Koala bears, a neat hard plastic 1977 Raggedy Anne & Andy nursery wall display, & a Limited Edition porcelain collector doll by Bradley's with her box & certificate! One place we went was dark, dirty, messy but had some interesting items! I found an Officer's Wives Cook Book 1976 from Andrews Airforce Base, Sourdough Jack's Cookery 1970 (propector's recipes from across America) & a wooden handcrafted book cover containing "The Salad Book" 1950! At one spot, I also found an interesting jointed soft doll, with yarn hair, a belly button, & no labels that really resembles a pre-Cabbage Patch Doll. I have some researching to do!!!
We relaxed afterwards by playing a few slot machines in a cross town local's casino so we wouldn't have to drive back into Vegas proper during rush hour!
For Day 4, Friday, I was up bright & early to go Garage Sale-ing with Dawn! LV has garage sales almost EVERY day of the week! Wouldn't that be wonderful! I saw all corners of town! So interesting to see the different homes, and scenery. In the summer, our 7 am start time would have been considered late! Due to the heat, 5 am is the start time in the summer! That part is not so great!
Diva Dude KNOWS Dawn has been out with me the past couple of days. She's been bringing home plush, and today she brought home dolls! NIB set by Disney that I couldn't possibly fit in my luggage, so I made Dawn claim that Treasure trove! I looked for smaller items. Found some Zippo lighters, and high end darts/flights in boxes. I have uncovered my first PET COSTUME! A small dog outfit....a plush bumble bee! So cute! It may fit my cat?!! What do you think? A pic would certainly be in order to model it! My scratch scars would heal...
A GREAT discovery was several T shirts hand signed by the star depicted!!! Mel Tillis, Don Ho, & Lou Rawls! I ventured into some cool men's silk Hawaiian shirts & vacation wear, and even a Victoria's Secrets ladies robe!
While Dawn & Lynn were setting up for LOL this afternoon, I strolled up to the brandnew ARIA Resort. Quite a complex! Shops, theatres, casino, restaurants! Here are some pics!

The Meet & Greet for Lynn's LOL attendees was in the middle of the Paris Casino in the Centre Lounge Bar. We were looking at each other tentatively saying "QC?" since the general public was also in attendance until we took over the surroundings! We were soon chatting like a group of old friends! Putting faces to posts is great! Mel & Steve's shopping trip was a success! EVERYONE found something! We can't wait to see the models at LOL showing off the purchases! I wonder if the popular new item (bra's) were purchased??
Early start tomorrow, and LOL will run into the evening hours. Gotta get to bed!
