Happy Cinco de Mayo!
I did not have an internet connection yesterday!
Today, Thursday May 5 , finds the intrepid Treasure Hunters in a Quality Inn in Hardeesville South Carolina just getting ready to hunt down some dinner!
My flight out of Toronto to Charlotte NC was late in leaving yesterday, due to having no flight crew. I arrived in "chilly" Charlotte a little late, but found Melissa and Millard right away, and even my suitcase was already spinning around on the carousel!
We piled into the car and headed to Ruby Tuesday's to meet up with some fellow QC'ers for dinner. I met Robin (Birdhead) and Avery (AverysToys) and her husband Daniel. What fun meeting up with those you chat with daily on the forum! We all chatted a mile a minute, with lots of stories and laughs & frosty fruity adult beverages (well, except Avery who is eating for 2 but NOT drinking for 2 - so we took up her slack!).
Here is a pic the waiter took of us, who said it was "wonderful "so I guess he thinks Canadians don't open their eyes (??)

Melissa and I were on our way at 8 am this morning. I had to wear long pants and a jacket! A storm came through a couple of days ago, so the weather is cool, OR I brought it with me!
We made an unscheduled stop at an Antique Mall in Walterboro, about an hour outside of Hardeesville and I beat Melissa to some jewelry treasures (wow!!) and I found a TALKING viewmaster reel set with original box!
Here in Hardeesville, one shop was shut but we were able to visit the Consignment store before checking into our hotel. There Melissa found a few items, but nothing tempted me. I am saving up for TOMORROW's road trip where we will be able to stop in many places!
We are off to find some seafood, and I'll update more tomorrow!
